Sisters Crispy Popiah
Popiah lovers should be familiar with the name of “Sisters Crispy Popiah”. After all, it’s a famous popiah brand that can be easily found in many shopping centres such as Suria KLCC and Sunway Pyramid. Here, the popiah is freshly prepared on the spot with motley of delicious goodies such as yam bean, shredded carrots, cucumbers and crushed peanuts added together in the wrap. The result is crispy, yet savoury popiah served in an appetising mix of chilli sauce and brown sauce.

Restoran Sup & Popia Zaiton Hussin
This restaurant offers the best of both worlds with their savoury soup and of course, popiah. Unlike the dry type of popiah, Zaiton Hussin’s version is slightly wetter. Beneath the thin wrap, the popiah is packed with shredded yam bean as one of the main ingredients. Then, a splash of sweet-and-spicy red sauce is drenched on top of the popiah to make it more appetising.

Fancy for Peranakan popiah? Luckily, you don’t have to travel all the way to Melaka because you can have it here at Baba Low’s 486 in Bangsar. Wrapped in a thick egg skin, the popiah is filled with egg strips, yam bean, fried shallots, bean sprouts and cucumbers. The popiah also carries a distinct sweetness of dark brown Gula Melaka sauce.
