Heli Lounge Bar
Hardly an average rooftop bar, Heli Lounge integrates an aviation-themed bar where you can find unique decors such as an actual Boeing 747 turbine specially rebuilt into a DJ console and a Boeing 737 cabin seat refurbished into a comfy sofa. Not only that, you’ll be greeted by waiters dressed in pilot uniforms. But the biggest novelty here is the helipad itself, which located two floors up on the 36th floor (you need to climb those flights of stairs, though). From there, you can enjoy your meal or your favourite drink while experiencing the Kuala Lumpur skyline during sunset or even night time. In case you are ordering the drinks, go for their signature cocktails such as “Fizzy 747” (a hybrid of Mojitos and vodka), “Star Kiss” (a vodka mixed with pineapple and vanilla syrup), or “Chopper” (a vodka mixed with green tea and apple syrup)More infoHeli Lounge Bar View restaurant

View in Google Maps Mojito Rooftop Bar @ Nagaba
No rooftop bar trail in Kuala Lumpur is deemed complete till you’ve stepped into Mojito Rooftop Bar at Nagaba, an under-the-radar spots for partygoers. There are particularly two types of views – overlooking the spectacular sights of the city or facing a backdrop of lush greenery. Atmosphere aside, what keeps patrons coming back for more is their Mojitos - classic, coconut, white grape, watermelon, passion fruit or lychee are range of flavour profiles and hands down, everything is worth going for seconds or even thirds. As the sun descends towards the horizon, the strings of colourful lights bulbs and talented DJs just elevate the whole experience a degree higher.

Marini's on 57
This award-winning Marini’s on 57, which won the prestigious 2014-2015 edition of World Branding Awards’ Brand of the Year for Restaurant (Malaysia), offers an elegant mix of rooftop bar, Italian restaurant, and whisky and cigar lounge. The rooftop bar is particularly stunning, thanks to the floor-to-ceiling glass windows that allows you to get the best views of the iconic Petronas Twin Towers and of course, the Kuala Lumpur cityscape. Apart from a wide selection of wines and cocktails, you can also savour some of the Italian fine dining cuisines with traditional main courses such as Bresaola (a type of beef dish) and Pasta E Faigoli (a combination of pasta and beans). If you are fond of cigars, there’s an exclusive lounge where you can find a various range of cigar brands. For drinks, they have their own in-house signature cocktails such as “Jungle Bird” (a dark rum and Campari mixed with two fruit juices — pineapple and lime, cilantro simple syrup and egg white) and “The Cool Banana” (a vodka with a unique blend of banana puree, vanilla, espresso, dried ginger and clove).More infoMarini's on 57 View restaurant

Mai Bar
Fancy for some fun and vibrant get-together moments? If you and your friends are into booze, then the Tiki-themed rooftop bar on the 30th floor of the Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral might be the answer. Blessed with a swanky décor and cool furniture such as the pink bean bags, the Mai Bar also offers you a great view of the Kuala Lumpur cityscape. Drink-wise, don’t forget to order their signature Malaysian Princess Mai Tai. Served in a Tiki-themed glass, this particular cocktail is an appealing blend of—here we go—dark & silver rum, orange liqueur and juice, lime juice, pineapple juice, grenadine syrup, kaffir leaf and blueberries. Not only is it an amazing tropical mix, it tastes heavenly as well.More infoMai Bar View restaurant

SkyBar
It was voted by the readers of the Expatriate Lifestyle magazine as “Best Hotel Bar” and “Best Bar in Malaysia” for four consecutive years. So what makes the SkyBar such a successful phenomenon? Well, the rooftop space is blessed with transparent balconies, as well as glass skylights that allow you to witness the majestic views of Petronas Twin Towers and among others. But the biggest limelight here is the gleaming 26-meter long pool that stretched along the bar. Best of all, you get to chillax on the poolside sofa while sipping your favourite cocktail. Speaking of cocktails, the signature “Mata D’or”—a fruity blend of passion fruit, grenadine syrup and Red Bull—is one sensational pick-me-up drink you can’t afford to miss out. There are also a variety of foods available, but it was the finger foods that worth ordering here. For instance, there’s the scrumptiously spicy buffalo chicken wings which is available in half or one dozen. And if you are here with a bunch of friends, you can never go wrong with the Skybar Bucket—a potpourri of mouth-watering buffalo wings, crispy fried seafood, mixed satay and cross-cut chips.More infoSkyBar View restaurant

Elysium
Perched on the 32nd floor of Wisma Goldhill, boasting with picture-perfect scenery of Petronas Twin Towers and the KL Tower and often filled to the brim with partygoers, Elysium beckons. The bar lounge area is embellished with sofa beds and warm lightings, creating a more refined vibe but the main draw is rooftop bar. Slew of libation are available but their cocktails cut above the rest with unique yet delicious combinations. Think flavours like – Hibiscus Sour (hibiscus concentrate and orange liquor), Herbs and Berries (fresh, basil, berries and dill) and Pisco Cocombre (Pisco El Gobernador, cucumber syrup, egg white and fresh lemon juice), to name a few. Another scoring point here is the DJs knows exactly what the crowd wants – from funk to soul tunes, you name it, they spin it.

Cedar on 15
Situated just opposite Suria KLCC, Cedar on 15 is a trendy rooftop bar-cum-fine dining restaurant that offers a sumptuous range of Western cuisine. The restaurant itself is spacious enough to give you a comfortable dining experience. Meanwhile, the decor is also worth mentioning here with deluxe-looking interior and posh furniture that evokes a laidback feel. As for the food selection, go for one of their signature main courses which are Pumpkin Seed Crusted Black Cod. You’ll be delighted that the fish here is served fresh with minimal seasoning. Not only that, it also pairs well with a delectable trio of side dishes (mushroom tomato chutney, snap peas and fennel mousse). If you have a room for dessert, their cake offerings—such as the sinfully tempting Chocolate Molten Cake—are amazingly rich and tasty enough to end your meal with a smile on your face. Of course, no rooftop bar would be complete without a decent selection of liquors and wines. For that, you’ll be spoilt with choices. And if you’re here for cocktails, the rosé wine-based cocktail “Cedar’s Whisper” is one of the must-tries.More infoCedar on 15 View restaurant

Bridge Bar @ G-Tower Hotel
Housed in G-Tower Hotel, no list of the best bars in Kuala Lumpur can shy away Bridge Bar. As per the name, you might have a clue already but it’s a helluva of a bridge bar as is suspended between two blocks of the hotel. Besides the knock-out views and impressive blend of cocktails, another magnetic appeal here is the glass platform which gives a thrilling feel of floating on the air, even before gulping down few shots of spirits. One signature drink here is Chily-Tho – rum infused with lie, chili, mint leaves and filled to brim with soda water with fresh green chili and wedge of lime perched atop. Sounds peculiar but it packs a punch. Scrub up well, rub shoulders with well-heeled diners while embrace the beauty of the city which is under your feet.
