The name itself has been sprouting around KL like mushrooms, and even recently opened a branch in Singapore. The original shop in Kepong still operates today and stands as one of the busiest branches of the six. If you can’t decide between the traditional soup and chilli pan mee, then have a go at the curry version of this dish. It’s getting the best of both worlds – soupy and spicy. Noodles here are thicker and firmer and prepared upon ordering. As for the secret behind their homemade chilli, that has been a well-kept family recipe since they started.
    Tips

Make sure you thoroughly stir the chilli into the pan mee before you add some more! Also, give their famous dumplings a try.

This not-so-little restaurant is like the Willy Wonka factory of pan mee. Take a look at their menu and you’ll see a variety of flavours you might not even know about! Herbal chicken, century egg, hot and spicy, fried pork pan mee are just a few unique versions of this noodle dish. Run by husband and a wife, this humble hawker stall looks like your average neighbourhood supper spot, but you’ll notice most of their customers are enjoying their plate of Pan mee. Over here you have three choices of noodles to choose from: thin, thick or hand-pinched. The soup has a sweet taste, thanks to the hours of boiling pork bones and dried anchovies. The pan mee sells out pretty quickly so be sure to get there early, otherwise you would need to settle for their yee mee instead.
    Tips

    Get there early!

    Things to expect

The food takes a little bit of a wait.

If you’re going for the first time, you might become confused at the sight of a hawker stall inside an aged building. Follow the crowd and you’ll see that everyone patiently waits for available seats, despite the lunch rush. Garnished with super hot chilli, anchovies and black fungus, the black sauce with lard is the key to its mouthwatering taste. The chilli is said to be on the sweet side but that just means you can add more! Definitely worth a try if you’re in the area!
