She raves about her five-star curry noodles but it’s her dry chilli pan mee that gets the attention of customers. As with most shops, it’s served with minced pork, fragrant anchovies and watery soft boiled egg for added flavour. However, she rebels against the traditional hand-pinched/long and springy/soft and chewy pan mee that we’re all familiar with and serves egg noodles instead. But we won’t hold that against her! A small bowl of spinach soup to accompany your meal as an added bonus for your taste buds, so why not?

Chilli flakes are unlimited so depending on how hot you can handle, feel free to top up as you go! Kin Kin has also been voted by the people as one of KL’s best cheap eats.

Serving pan mee with character since 1975! All noodles are rolled and flattened using a good ol’fashioned glass bottle and served with lots and lots of mushrooms. It may not be the most ideal place to set up a hawker stall, but that doesn’t stop customers from swarming in like moths to a flame! Mr Yong’s broth has a thick consistency that you can hardly find in most soup pan mee. If you opt to add an egg, they’ll crack one right onto the bottom of your bowl to slowly cook in piping hot soup. Raw pan mee is also available if you’re looking to cook your own!
    Tips

Add lime juice and their chilli sauce for an extra kick!

    Things to expect

Parking is horrendous; wear light as there are no fans or air conditioners; you may bump into ‘lady’ escorts if you go bright and early in the morning.

    Best with

Lime, lime and lots of lime! (and a paper fan…)
