Best Grilled Fish (Ikan Bakar) in Melaka

A must-try item from Seri Muara Alai Nasir is their Grilled Stingray as well as grilled Kembong Fish with Sambal. As it is a village restaurant located far from town, they utilize a very traditional cooking method. The fresh seafood is cooked directly on top of a large concrete stove with fiery fire, so the place can get pretty hot sometimes. If you're running low on money, here's the place for you as their seafood is pretty affordable.

Grilled Fish at Rose and Ali's is certainly catered more towards the locals as it is located further out of town. The stall is situated in a food court-styled known as Medan Ikan Bakar, with various stalls displaying their catch to customers. It's pretty much easy to eat here as you can just proceed to choose from a variety of fresh seafood from their catch of the day (be spoilt!), choose the style of cooking from the board, and finally, just wait for the fish to be cooked. Their grilled sambal-style fish is prepared with "ikan pari", where it is deep-fried and topped with a spicy, salivating sambal.
