Panna cotta originated from Italy and
directly translated means 'cooked cream'. It is a type of pudding made out of
sweetened dairy thickened with gelatine and moulded. It can be
consumed right out of a cup, but it is more often unmoulded onto a plate and
drizzled with rum, caramel, coffee, vanilla, or other flavourings, coupled with
fresh fruit. A mouthful of panna cotta is delightfully creamy, dissolving in
the mouth and blanketing over the tongue sans lumps or noticeable pieces.

Chequers
While Chequers, an American diner restaurant, may be more widely known serving handmade Waffles using premium local & seasonal ingredients, they also serve a mean panna cotta. Infused with mangoes, their panna cotta melts in the mouth and its delectable taste is paradise on the palate. The texture is just the right balance between soft and firm. On top of that, Chequers’s panna cotta has a unique blend in taste between sweet and sour thanks to the addition of the mangoes. Mango lovers everywhere, this one is for you!
