Sandwiched between Secret Recipe and 7-Eleven at Brem Mall is a comfy restaurant that has been receiving epithets such as “The Best Cendol in Town” and “Best Varieties of Cendol”. Besides the soothing thirst quencher, their Malaysian delicacies such as Curry Mee, Nasi Goreng and Rojak are vaunted among patrons too. Their Rojak platter consists of kuih bawang (deep-fried onion fritter), hard-boiled eggs, fried bean curds and kuih kelapa (deep-fried coconut fritter), which is piled with a generous portion of julienned cucumbers and jicamas. The pyramid is then ladled with their homemade sauce, which has a tinge of sweetness and bits of crushed peanuts and finally dusted with sesame seeds. The deep-fried fritters are bouncy and complement treacly sauce while the raw greens add a layer of crunch. The platter usually comes with a separate bowl of similar sauce, where diners can drench the morsels according to their liking.  It’s worthy to order another before the last bite.

This stall offers a Penang version of rojak. The mixture of slices of ambra, yam bean, guava, papaya, cucumber and pineapple is tossed in a pungent sauce made from Penang fermented prawn paste. The lady also adds tamarind water and a sprinkle of toasted belacan when mixing the items together giving it a tangy twist. It is topped off with toasted peanuts and fritters. THe fresh fruits and the tangy flavorful sauce is definitely tantalizing to the taste buds.

This old uncle is one who has been trading here for the past 10 years and prior to this at the famous stalls located at TTDI. The sauce he conjures up are thick and aromatic which compliments the other condiments that he adds to this dish which includes a blanched browned sotong, grilled sotong, blanched kangkung (water spinach), chopped pineapples, cucumbers, papaya with crunchy yau char kuai slices. He finishes it off with a sprinkling of crushed peanuts and a dash of calamansi lime juice which brings together all the flavors and textures so well. You would definitely be back for more, once you’ve tried this uncle’s rojak!
