Rumah Tumpangan dan Kedai Kopi Yong Suan
For over years, Perniagaan Nasi Kandar Ayam Merah is renowned for its finger-licking good nasi kandar. It is secluded inside a Chinese coffee shop cum guest house, known as Rumah Tumpangan dan Kedai Kopi Yong Suan, which is also the local favourite spot to drop by for breakfast or early lunch. Just so you know, nasi kandar over here is addressed as “Nasi Ganja”. One of the must-try signature dishes to pair with your rice here is the “ayam merah”.

Restoran Nasi Vanggey
Restoran Nasi Vanggey has been serving nasi kandar since 1955. It is exclusive as it is only found in Ipoh with a few branches up to date! The nasi kandar here bears the name “Nasi Ganja”, as it is simply scrumptious and yet addictive! Needless to say that your visit to Ipoh is never complete without getting a plate of it! Additionally, unlike any other mamak joints, this place offers a more conventional way of dining, in a contemporary laidback environment.

Nasi Kandar Pekan Lama
Nasi Kandar Pekan Lama is located at the ground floor of an old rundown flat, built by Ipoh City Council to assist needy families back in the vintage year. The nasi kandar here is highly sought-after because of its spicy and tasty lip-smacking curry gravy. Serving time is rather quick, similar to dining in a fast food restaurant! It sells out pretty fast too. Do come early to avoid the long queue.
