Best Pork Chops in Melaka

Heng Long Taiwan Mee is only famous for one thing, and one thing only - Pork Chop Noodles. Yes, the ever-so-crispy and succulent pork chops placed on top of springy noodles, served with a little bit of rich and delicate broth at the bottom of the bowl. This dish is one of Melaka's most popular, and has certainly drawn in quite a strong tourist rate. It also comes with a side of soup to help tone things down a little. All and all, if you're ever visiting Melaka, you've got to try this out.

Wok and Pan is a fusion of Nyonya and western cuisine located in the vicinity of Melaka Raya. It may sound a little odd, but Wok and Pan is famed for their awesome pork ribs. Not only that, their signature bbq pork chop has been pretty well-received too. It's succulent, juicy and well seasoned, doused with a cream based sauce and served with fries on the side. It's simple, flavourful and well, tasty!

Restoran Tong Sheng is quite a number of unique and delectable dishes. Some of their most popular would be their giant prawn noodles, prawn cheese beehoon, cheese soup steamboat and of course, the rojak pork chop. Yes, you've read that correctly - rojak pork chop. Who in the world would...nevermind. It all make sense when you take your first bite as the dish is incredibly succulent and well packed with an array of flavours. From sweet to savoury, and spicy to tangy - they're all in together. 

Pin Pin Hiong Restaurant is a fairly old coffee shop that has more to offer than meets the eye. Located along Jalan Hang Jebat, Melaka, this has been the go-to place for many of the locals due to its array of traditionally brought-down recipes. One of which includes the Hainanese pork chop that is first fried then cut into smaller chunks and doused with plenty of sauce. At least 30-40% of what's available will be swimming in that savoury broth, while the remaining stands tall and ready to be eaten. 

As the name suggests, River View Cafe is located alongside a river in Melaka. It does give the cafe its indentity, as well as a peaceful and serene place to dine. Fortunately, both the food and drinks here are able to compliment the view. The succulent pork chop with herbs may not have been the most popular, but it is a pretty decent dish. It's crisp on the outside while maintaining a juice interior, as well as a side of beautifully steamed vegetables, the entire dish is pleasant and tasty. Nothing too fancy, just good ol' fashion food.
