This perennial establishment has been operating for the longest time and has continued to satisfy the cravings of both locals and travellers. Having said that, the presence of Ipoh’s stape- Kai Si Hor Fun is a definite choice here, gracing the tables of customers and filling their hungry tummy.

Moon De Moon Restaurant is a Chinese coffee shop that operates with three independent hawker stalls. Having said that, the Curry Mee Stall does stands out particularly well. Besides the lip smacking dry curry chicken noodles, the same stall serves a relatively amazing bowl of Kai Si Hor Fun. The broth possesses a tantalizing aroma of chicken and prawn, while fresh garnishes like scallions and chives tops the bowl.

When you’re at Pasir Puteh, Restoran Pulau Sembilan is one place where you can get a bowl of lip smacking Kai See Hor Fun from Ah Tiong’s Chicken Kuey Tiow stall here. The bonus of course, is that the velvety smooth chicken kuey teow comes with options of both dry and soup versions. Both are rendered with a unique taste. The dry version has a vigorous flavour derived from its dressing mixture, while the broth version is concentrated with chicken and shrimp essence.

Ever since the 90’s, Kedai Makanan Loke Wooi Kee is esteemed when there is a demand for delicious bowls of Hor Hee- fish balls and fish cakes noodles. Apart from that, you can also enjoy the best of both worlds here from a neighbouring stall which sells Kai Si Hor Fun. The portion here is pretty decent too, with an abundance of shredded chicken and prawns.

Eat here if you want to avoid tourists and eat amongst locals instead. Food tastes genuinely local and the environment is characteristically Ipoh - relaxed and casual.One of the stalls here serves really fantastic Kai Si Hor Fun.The standard one is served with prawns and shredded chicken meat but you can add or order on the side other add ons such as jellyfish or steamed chicken with 'nga choy' (bean sprouts) which also happens to be one of the better ones in Ipoh.  Their soup base is really tasty and whatever they can offer.
