Best Halal Buffets in Klang Valley

Written by Updated ago

Whoever came up with the idea of buffets is a genius. Mad genius. I mean, the concept of paying a fixed price and just having everything you can possibly eat in one go is a win-win situation for both the restaurant & us, the customers. Restaurants get more customers & customers get to save money. This is especially true for Malaysians, since we are so well-known for our eating pastime. So all-you-can-eat buffet was definitely a message sent from heaven when it first arrived here (aside from mamak stalls of course). So here, we have compiled a list of best halal buffet in town. Note the word ‘halal’ there, people (it means there will be no swine-y business here)

Rankings of all participants as visible on our listings are solely voted by you, our beloved readers. With that said, we would encourage you to please vote for your preferred participants in order to ensure their rightful positions ranking-wise on our portal. Thank you!

    Lemon Garden CafePork free d90bfb235d64e73ff14d8ad65b89aaab71a3af43962907cb9cd494af0a63fa21

If you’re looking for a vast international selection of buffet range complete with Japanese sashimi and Italian pizza, then this is the place to head to. Lemon Garden Café has garnered a very reputable status in Kuala Lumpur for serving some of the best buffet for the past 10 years. Even the ice cream selection seem to be endless but of course, there has always got to be a niche area for a buffet and Lemon Garden’s is its seafood buffet on Saturdays and Thursdays. It is refreshing to be served fresh seafood instead of just supermarket crabs and oysters. But not forgetting, their desserts bar, which is equally wonderful, serving their homemade ice cream and (gasp!) a chocolate and a white chocolate fountain. Do you really need more reason to not go here?

    Tips

You can choose to come after 7pm if you want to save on the parking fee because after 7, it has a flat rate of RM10.

    Things to expect

It is a hotel restaurant, so expect a hotel-worthy price tag.

    Best with

    Their homemade ice cream.

    Price

    RM120.00 to RM150.00

Yama-G is one of the rare Halal Japanese restaurant that offers ala-carte buffet. The reason in doing so instead of the usual spread is to ensure that all the dishes are freshly made upon order. Though it may take some time, it is definitely worth the wait. Choose from a large variety of dishes from its Japanese-fusion menu, including sashimi, sushi and many other interesting fusion dishes! What makes Yama-G stands out from the rest would be their amazing selection of sauces used in their dishes. Furthermore, a table of two will also be eligible for their signature Japanese Love boat which consists of Sashimi Shrimp, Salmon, Peppered Salmon, Tuna, White Tuna, Tamago and a serving of Chuka Idako (Seasoned Baby Japanese Octopus).

    Tips

Now now… I know what you’re thinking, why is there a durian stall listed on here? Because, well, there is no such thing as a set rule when it comes to branding a buffet spread. The only condition is that it must be an all-you-can-eat outlet and the durian stalls at SS2 are definitely an all-you-can-eat joint! If you’re a PJ frequent visitor like me, then, I bet you might have dropped by at this place to fill your tummy with happiness but if you have not, then please go there tonight. Malaysians, rejoice, durian heaven is here and if you’re craving some during the non-season period, you know where to stop over after this. The king of all fruit awaits your arrival!

    Tips

Walk around first and look at the price instead of just swooping in on the first stall you see because some are cheaper than the others.

    Things to expect

Lots of thorns (haha, who are we kidding, you already know what to expect)

    Best with

Plain water. You need space for all that yellow goodness.

This Japanese buffet has been around for a few years in Pavilion and managed to stay due to its excellent buffet and unique concept, merging different kinds of Japanese food and technology to bring to the customers a whole new Japanese experience. The restaurant puts a lot of limelight on its 4 soup bases: shabu-shabu, sukiyaki, miso and kimuchi, even the tagline says so! Why is Suki-Ya in this list? Because they have free flow of everything, beef, vegetables and even the soft-serve ice cream. And we love anything that’s free flowing. FYI: If you’re one of those with sky high taste buds, then I recommend you to try the wagyu beef. Sure it is a little pricier but hey, it’s definitely worth it.

    Tips

Try dipping the beef slice in raw egg before eating it. I know this may seem gross to some but just give it a try.

    Things to expect

A lot of meat is served so if you’re not one of the carnivores…you can head over to the Healthy Bar where they serve free flow vege too.

    halal

Rebung offers authentic Malay cuisine in its buffet, so no sort of thing like ham or cute little croissants here. Instead you will get to have some fiery asam pedas and nasi kerabu. Co-owned by renowned chef, Chef Ismail and Malaysia’s first astronaut, Datuk Dr Sheikh Muszaphar, Rebung was bound to be a sure-fire hit when it first opened. Years onward, the restaurant is still flourishing and blooming in its own, collecting a pool of new fans in Bangsar and out of it alike. The main buffet line will always be the obligatory white rice and nasi hujan panas, followed by the compulsory pucuk paku and crispy, freshly made beans. Of course, since Chef Ismail hails from good ‘ol Rembau, masak lemak is a definite must-try in the list. The side dishes were as equally enticing. But if you’re feeling full from your previous meal, then there’s always the rojak buah, sago gula Melaka and banana fritters to keep your mouth busy. Otherwise, make sure your stomach is empty before coming here. The buffet here can be described as traditional, fresh and very homely. There was a table of Nogori people when I went there before, so if they love it, what’s the possibility that you won’t love it?

    Tips

There is very limited parking space here which is the downside, so be prepared to park on the side of the road & watch out for the po-po patrols.

    Things to expect

Since the owner is a true blue Negeri Sembilan boy, expect lots and lots of masak lemak and tempoyak in the buffet.

    Best with

Their Janda Pulang drink which is actually coconut drink mixed in with rose syrup.

    Secret Of LouisianaPork free d90bfb235d64e73ff14d8ad65b89aaab71a3af43962907cb9cd494af0a63fa21

Secret of Louisiana claims they serve the best Cajun cuisine and promotes their lakeside location pretty heavily on their website. The restaurant is quite an attraction amidst the quiet Plaza Kelana Jaya area, which proves how having a picturesque location is a goldmine for the food industry nowadays. The talked about buffet here only serves pasta and is pork free. From only RM 18++ per person, the price is equivalent as to what we may get for a single plate of pasta at other restaurants, so of course the value for money is there. Aside from that, the tables on the patio provide an excellent view of the lake, you’d feel as if you’re in New Orleans with the jazz music playing in the background.

    Tips

The pasta buffet may be pork-free but if you’re a non-Muslim & want a sip of wine, you have to go ala-carte.

    Things to expect

Lots of spices in the pasta, their specialty is Cajun cuisine after all.

    Best with
