Best Bakeries in KL

Written by Updated ago

Whether it’s for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner or even supper, bread is versatile enough as an anytime-pick-me-up wholesome meal. More than just a mass-produced plain white loaf from the grocers or supermarket, bread comes in many varieties. Rye bread, pita bread, bagel, French loaf, pizza, bread roll. Did you know that even cakes are considered a type of bread? In recent years, traditional mom-and pop bakeries have become a thing of the past as their existence has been overshadowed by the more fancy and artisan establishments that have come to dominate the bakery scene. Here on FoodAdvisor, we list a selection of the best bakeries in Kuala Lumpur.

Rankings of all participants as visible on our listings are solely voted by you, our beloved readers. With that said, we would encourage you to please vote for your preferred participants in order to ensure their rightful positions ranking-wise on our portal. Thank you!

France is no stranger to good ol’ traditional baked goods. Thankfully, there is no need to travel halfway around the globe as Tommy Le Baker offers the closest experience you can get to indulge in authentic French-style breads. A little history about the owner, Tommy: before he set up his own bakery in Malaysia, he used to live in France for over a decade. One can imagine the vast experience he gained perfecting the art of bread-making over the years. If you happen to stop by at his bakery, we highly recommend his sourdough bread. In fact, all his baked creations ranging from crusty baguettes and croissants to sandwiches as well as pastries are just as divine, thanks to the owner’s pledge on using 100% natural ingredients.
