    Although Pontian wantan mee can be easily found in the Klang Valley area, the real deal remains the one from Johor state itself. One of the best authentic ones has to be the old coffeeshop of Heng Heng at Taman Anggerik. The egg noodle has a firm texture that mixes well with special gravy made from chilli and tomato sauce. Simply yummy!

    They also sell raw ingredients such as noodles and fish balls if you wish to cook at home.

    Sin Kee is a hawker stall located inside Kedai Makan Lam Yong, better known as 8383 kopitiam. The wantan mee is delicious, especially with the authentic Pontian styl sauce that coat the noodles. The noodle are exceptionally springy and don’t turn soggy even after drenched in sauce!

    The noodles are done in an old-school style using bamboo poles.
