Since the day we hankered for sausage bun from the roti man to licking our fingers clean with a beautifully messed hotdog from our favourite roadside burger stall. Accompanying you and your partner by dressing itself to kill in fine dining to a quick grub in the pub to boost you up to hit the dance floor, boy oh boy, this meaty baton certainly is our best friend who has been by our side all the time. It’s good on its own with a quick steam, grill or fry, better when it’s tarted up with toppings and absolute divine when you’re spoilt with mouth-watering choices like below.

Ingolf’s Kneipe
Stowed away at Tanjung Bungah, Ingolf’s Kneipe is a destination for German fare devotees. And what is German food without sausages? Their signature pork batons come in various servings here, either you settle for the simple German pork sausage which is accompanied with mashed potato and salad, or something more German with heaps of sauerkraut, mustards and pork bacon – nothing is short of savoury and succulence. The size of the sausage is thrice a normal one; therefore you’ll only have a little space left for dessert. Panna cotta, Crème Brulee, Dark Chocolate Mousse and Banana Split are highly rated for a happy ending.

Irrawady Fine Foods
Whatever the toppings maybe or length of the sausage, what matters most is definitely the quality of the meat and hands down, this homey-styled restaurant is making quite a name with their homemade pork sausages. You’ll love it even more once it’s encapsulated between their homemade rye bread and a generous helping of sauerkraut. If you’re not a fan of plump sausages, their Italian-American sausage set comes with slices of bread, two sausages smeared with tomato ketchup and served with sautéed onions. The huge selection of freshly baked bread deserves a mention too, and they are equally easy on the wallet.
