    Jess Cafe

    Jess Cafe has been students' go-to lunch place due to being close to three public schools. Students are in love with its Yong Tau Foo that can be ordered a la carte with different soup base. The Yong Tau Foo is also much bigger compared to other restaurants. They also love the seafood and kimchi pancake that are fried in such a way that the outer part is crispy but the inner ingredients remain soft and flavorful. Jess Cafe also sells buttermilk pork cutlet that many students like to order. The pork cutlet is fried to a gold brown before the buttermilk sauce is poured on top and served with a big piece of lettuce. You can choose to order it with or without rice, and the for those who are not a fan of pork, it can be substituted with chicken cutlet.
    Tips

    Avoid going on weekdays afternoon because there will be many students.

    Clean environment with affordable food and friendly servers.

    Buttermilk pork cutlet and pancakes.

    Restoran New Hup Lek has been selling their Curry Noodles, Char Kuey Teow and Nasi Lemak for over a decade. Their Curry Noodles are creamy and mouth-watering, and is served with a bit of sambal to be mixed for a spicier soup. The scent of the Char Kuey Teow is a perfect mix of belacan and soy sauce, and you can add curry chicken to your Char Kuey Teow. The Nasi Lemak is also a bestseller as it comes with one special ingredient; salted fish. The salted fish is crunchy and savory, and tastes the best when eaten together with the rice and the sambal. The rice is fluffy and tender, and the sambal is spicy and sweet. You can choose to have your Nasi Lemak  with curry chicken or curry wild boar.
    Tips

    Nasi Lemak is usually sold out around 11AM so if you have to go earlier if you want to try the Nasi Lemak.

    Opened for more than 10 years, Restoran Hoi Yin is said to have the best curry noodles in Kuantan. The curry laksa soup has a lighter base compared to other curry soups in town, yet the fragrant of the soup is strong and tempting. The fact that the restaurant is Halal has attracted many Malay regular customers, and if you're a beach lover, then you're in luck because this restaurant is located within walking distance to the beach.
    Tips

    Go earlier in the morning or you might have to wait half an hour to 45 minutes for your food.

    Expect to share table with others to avoid waiting for too long.

Known as Pandan Cooler, the signature pandan-flavored drink has just the right amount of sweetness which is very refreshing and unique. The locals love the cheesecakes, especially the Durian Cheesecake that is aromatic and bitter sweet, whereas the non-durian fans are crazy for the Mango Cheesecake! Lila Wadi is the place for you if you want a place with good dinner and dessert.
