The nasi lemak offered at Peel Road is famous because it is NON-HALAL! Putting a twist on the nasi lemak tradition, the nasi lemak has been localised with pork! This is one of the few nasi lemaks which feature a pork rendang curry as one of its side dishes, along with other Chinese “chap fan” styled side dishes, the nasi lemak will definitely not disappoint pork lovers. Other than their signature pork curry, they also have luncheon meat, chicken curry, sambal sotong, fried chickens, curry potatoes, sambal petai, braised chickens in soy sauce, assam fish, vegetables and many other dishes. If varieties are your jam, this place would be a great starting point.

Slightly different than other porky nasi lemaks, Ann’s version will definitely leave a satisfied feeling in your tummy when you leave the shop. The real standout got to be the curry that ties together the whole dish with subtle savouriness. Paired with their sambal kerang and dry sambal with curry, this is a nasi lemak every pork lover should give a try!
