A Malaysian and Southern Thai dish, made up of rice steamed in coconut milk, a side of fish with curry, or perhaps chicken as well, assorted pickled vegetables, optional hard-boiled egg and shaved coconut flesh. The dish is very similar to our local mixed rice but with a slight twist. It's simple, homey and delicious, which is why we have compiled a list of nasi dagang in Putrajaya and Cyberjaya, just for you!

Sticking to the classics, Restoran Makang's nasi dagang is served in a traditionally wrapped paper, similar to how most nasi lemak are served. What is also great about it is the fact that it's easily taken away, with all the contents right where it belongs. Beautifully seasoned turmeric rice served with a piece of 'ayam berempah', two types of sambal and a side of cucumber. It's simple, affordable and delicious.More info
