The little gems of the ocean! Serve them up for dinner and everyone is sure to be pleased. Clams, or lalas as many fondly call them, can be considered to be a staple ingredient when it comes to seafood. People love them for their delicate but chewy texture and briny taste. The fun of opening them up is probably a big bonus as well! Although Melaka isn't exactly famous for clams, there are still a few places in the area that serve up great lalas.

Sea Terrace Seafood
One of the few top contenders at the Portuguese Settlement for seafood, you're sure to be more than delighted with the food here! Patrons are spoiled with choices as Sea Terrace has a wide selection of dishes on their menu and believe it or not, they're all good! Their clams do deserve a special mention though, simply because you can taste the natural sweetness of the flesh as well as that briny taste of the ocean.
