Juicy and succulent pork sausage served with artisanal toast and butter, creamy scrambled eggs, a handful of arugula, sautéed mushrooms and grilled cherry tomatoes. How yummy does this one sound? The pork sausage was the real standout, while fresh greens add a nice contrast to the creaminess of the eggs. What's more, the Big Breakfast also includes complimentary tea/coffee/juice of the day, certainly a firm nod from budget onlookers out there. Pamper your palate amidst an atmosphere that spells cosy and comfort. Truly justifying the never-ending queue on weekends.

The Hungry Spoon
The Hungry Spoon is a simple and casual cafe with a good selection of breakfast dishes. Everything that is available in the big breakfast may seem fairly normal, but the secret lies in the baked beans. It's cooked with chipotle sauce, which makes it really rich and flavourful. Apart from that, the scrambled eggs, sausages, ham, sauteed mushrooms and toast are fairly simple but done correctly. Since they are widely known for homemade ice creams too, grab a scoop or two before leaving. All and all, if you're looking for something simple, then this is definitely the place to be.

Yellow Brick Road
Yellow Brick Road has had quite the hype with a swarm of bloggers and pretty presentation. However, they're not all looks and no skills as most of their dishes are cooked to absolute perfection. The same can be said for the big breakfast, which is served in a frying pan for some reason - be it aesthetic or gimmick. For one, the portion is huge and it comes with a generous handful of sauteed mushrooms, vine cherry tomatoes, crispy bacon, sausages, hashbrowns, baked beans, scrambled eggs and toast. If anyone could finish this, they will be deemed a monster by most.

Nothing feels more delightful than rising to a morning in the city and a platter of big breakfast. And what you're looking at is no ordinary breakfast though, nope. With the addition of their signature ingredients like an utmost fluffy cheese-laced omelette, zesty cherry tomato compote, sauteed mushrooms, thick toast, juicy sausage and savoury mix of beans, this could be one big breakfast that can be checked off that bucket list. For Goodness Cake
For Goodness Cakes may be incredibly popular for its cakes but heck, their range of mains are pretty damn good too. The big breakfast comes with a good amount of amazingly fluffy and bouncy scrambled eggs (or any style of your choice), homemade chicken or lamb sausages, smoked salmon, roasted potatoes and mushrooms, sauteed tomatoes, baked beans and a homemade toast. Everything is done with just the right amount of seasoning, which makes it really pleasant, light and enjoyable. And then you can prowl over to the selection of cakes.

View in Google Maps Merchant's Lane
Merchant's Lane is pretty famous among the locals, as its one of the most beautiful restaurants in the vicinity and the food is delicious. Since two key points are checked, it always draws a diverse crowd over. We began with their signature big breakfast called 'Eat Die Me'. Made with sauteed mushrooms, homemade hashbrowns, chicken or lamb sausages, toasts, cheese-baked tomatoes, scrambled eggs and cream corn, it was something that no other has done so far. The mushrooms were beautifully seasoned and sauteed alongside a homemade hashbrown that was fried to perfection. A choice of either chicken or lamb sausages, eggs on toast and a bowl of cream corn. Something new, innovative and quite frankly, delightful.

Levain Boulangerie & Patisserie
Famous for its freshly baked pastries and colourful desserts, Levain serves a surprisingly good set of meals as well. One of the main appeals includes their Big Breakfast. Like any conventional Big Breakfast, it was served with scrambled eggs, toasts with cubes of butter, hash browns, tomato-beans, grilled tomatoes, and bacon coiled sausage. Everything is well cooked and seasoned but the scrambled eggs and hash brown deserves extra credit, depleting faster than other components tucked within the platter. While adorning the Victorian-style classic architecture and decoration, notch up your meal with a warm cup of latte.

Feeka Coffee Roasters
Although famous for being Coffee Roasters along Jalan Mesui – KL, Feeka Coffee Roasters serves a variety of breakfast dishes as well. One of the famous dishes includes, of course, their Scramble Eggs & Lamb Sausages on toasted rye bread while the other being Feeka’s Omelette. The scramble eggs were cooked to perfection as it was fluffy and well-seasoned with salt and a touch of paprika. Moreover, the lamb sausages were something to die for. Rich, savoury and delicious lamb flavour infused within these 2 sticks of joy. Last but not least, the toasted rye bread was robust and thick, which was great in supporting the amazing flavours of the scramble eggs and sausage.

View in Google Maps Antipodean
Antipodean café has always been quite popular due to its Australian-styled Big Breakfast and here are the reasons why. Firstly, their artisanal toast with a spread of butter was absolutely delicious. It was crusty, crispy and had an amazing bite to it. Something that was simply hard to find anywhere else. Their scrambled eggs were absolutely fluffy, creamy and seasoned to perfection while the strips of bacon, tomato beans and grilled tomatoes were pretty good, but nothing commendable. Not a fan of bacon? Chicken, beef and pork sausages offer a subtle swap.

View in Google MapsThe Red Beanbag
Apart from its famous skyscraper pancakes and a decent choice of coffees, the Red Beanbag serves a set of whole Big Breakfast as well. Aesthetically assembled, everything on the plate was cooked pretty well except for its tomato-beans which were rather watery and dull. The highlight was the scrambled egg, creamy and fluffy with a mild touch of butteriness. Meat-wise, beef bacon or turkey ham and beef or chicken sausage vie for equal attention. One really good dish within this plate was the selection of sautéed mushrooms and cherry tomatoes – amazing flavour! On a side note, one can opt for poached eggs too.

Step inside, you’ll see a narrow interior and the atmosphere is buzzing with people while baristas go hard at work tackling orders and delivering it excellently. Nutmeg is considered relatively new compared to its competitors, only opening its doors back in 2013. However, they have been doing very well attracting and keeping patrons loyal to their food. The Nutmeg Big Breakfast comes with a twist of its own. Instead of bacon and hash brown, they’ve substituted them for salted beef slices and some fried macaroni and cheese. Everything else comes the same as your traditional big breakfast. The lamb sausage is particularly delicious as it wasn’t too dry and it had just the right amount of spice to it.

S. Wine
As the name indicates, S.Wine specialises in all things pork. So it’s no surprise that almost everything on the menu is pork incorporated (except the drinks of course!). The English Fry Up offers you the usual big breakfast meal which includes 2 eggs, bacon, pork sausages, sautéed mushrooms, a chunky cut of ham, baked beans, grilled tomato and toast with a slab of butter on top. However, if you’re set on trying something new, then give their French Toast and Grilled Banana a shot. To make things even interesting, it’s finished off with a dollop of peanut butter. An unlikely pairing of flavours but it works.
