Since 1993, Green View Seafood Restaurant has been serving fresh delightful seafood delicacies in the SS2, Petaling Jaya neighbourhood. According to their regular customers, this place has not changed over the years – same old tiled floor, basic seats, wobbly tables covered with tablecloths.
Then again, that’s the whole point of dining here, you come here for the seafood and not the décor. With limited parking space and non stop flow of customers, you probably want to make a reservation before coming to the restaurant -particularly on weekends and public holidays. Our suggestion however would be to park vehicles in the Basement Parking of Menara Amfirst (located nearby the restaurant) -charges are set at a flat rate of RM5 after 5PM.
If you are wondering what makes people go crazy over this place is due to their renowned fresh water prawn noodles or better known as Sang Har Mee. Prepared with big fresh water prawns, refillable noodles, and delicious gravy, this is the dish served on almost every table in this restaurant. The gravy is extra delicious due to the combination of fresh water prawns, roe and umami. You can choose between the expensive dragon prawn or the normal prawn. However, the normal ones are also big in size and has firm flesh. The noodles have wonderful biscuity and stringy texture with unique Lye water flavour.
Aside from that, you can try the Salted Egg Crab. The thick salted eggs with full of flavours wrapping the crab shell will leave you licking it until clean. They also provide multiple choices of crabs from Australia, Indonesia and other countries. With the average of RM 50 per person, the foods served here are definitely worth the price, and the wait.
If you have a strong viewpoint for seafood, fresh and flavourful seafood to be precise, Restoran Green View Seafood is the place to be.
