Café Lafayette is located in Damansara Utama on the second floor of a shop lot. Starting their business in 2014, the restaurant has been enjoying quite the success today for their continuous upgrades, and consistent quality and taste.
Café Lafayette may be dubbed as a hipster café but the interior designs are more focused on comfort and homey rather than being overly trendy. Filled with plush seating here and there, with some tables and chairs thrown together, the layout may not exactly have a theme, but it works. Be it for a quick lunch, a date, studying or a group hangout session, Café Lafayette caters to all that and more.
Food-wise, Café Lafayette is known for their Western and Italian fares. Starting off, the one of the best seller and a dish that has surprising taste, Lafayette’s risotto. Risotto is a type of rice from Italy cooked in broth until the consistency becomes creamy. Café Lafayette serves risotto with the usual meat but the taste combination of the ingredients is a winner. Chicken, beef and even vegetarian, the ultimate choice however, would have the Mushroom Risotto. A little salty and perfectly creamy, this dish has resulted in many raving reviews about it on the net.
Similarly the Beef Bacon Risotto is also the creamy, salty rice in a good portioned serving. Lafayette’s pastas are also not to be missed with choices like the Aglio Olio, Carbonara, and Pesto Penne; one would not be easily bored here.
Just like any good cafes out there, they do serve freshly brewed coffees that tow along a beautiful artwork. If you still have room for desserts, do check out their waffles that are dressed to kill with usual elements like berries and sugary elements.
Sizable portion paired with great taste and a reasonable price, Lafayette is another gem that deserves a visit.
