It’s amazing how strangers can become friends just over delicious crepes and coffee. Well, at least that is the case at Strangers at 47, a humble neighbourhood café situated at Jalan 17/45, Section 17.

The cosy-looking eatery is filled with colourful décor and friendly vibe making it the ideal place for a chit chat session with your loved ones. Just like other hip cafés in town, the interior consists of concrete walls, exposed light bulbs, and DIY furniture. Now, you might be thinking, what sets this place apart from other similar competitors? The answer is pretty simple: their menu. More specifically, their crepes.

Using only the finest ingredients including wheat flour and buckwheat flour in preparing the crepes, Strangers at 47 opts in involving hints of local elements in their savoury and sweet crepes in order to avoid the same typical ingredients combinations. Start your day with one of their savoury crepe selections – Big Breakfast Crepe. The dish consists of a wholemeal crepe alongside chicken chorizo, smoked chicken ham, butter-sautéed Portobello mushrooms and spinach, hash brown, a sunny-side-up, caramelised onions, and baked beans.

For a sweeter version, Purple Rage is the ultimate choice. The literally purple coloured crepe is actually made of sweet potato while being matched with Japanese sweet potato, coconut sago, and a drizzle of gula Melaka syrup on top.

Apart from their mouth-watering crepe, this place is also known for making great espresso-based drinks. Every beverages are brewed and poured to you delicately giving it a velvety smooth finish. Psstt, you might want to try their Matcha Latte. It is exceptionally good! For a great and unpretentious crêperie around PJ area, Strangers at 47 is definitely a great choice.
