Strada Restaurant & Patisserie is a restaurant that primarily serves various Western dishes and desserts. This restaurant is the brainchild of a couple from Vancouver who are currently residing in Penang. Strada opened it’s doors in July 2008 with the goal of creating a contemporary dining atmosphere that’s cozy and comfortable to indulge in with the help of soothing background music and delicious food. The restaurant has succeeded in doing so based solely on the decor of the establishment, which has gotten many great reviews from customers.
As far as the food served here is concerned, there are a number of options to choose from. Some of the appetisers that are served at Strada include fig salad with toasted almonds and feta cheese, citrus salad, crab cake with orange vinaigrette salad, tortilla chips, quiches, mushroom soup, clam chowder, and calamari with tartar sauce to name a few.
As for main courses, Strada serves up dishes like steak with couscous, fish and chips, roasted Cajun chicken with BBQ sauce, spaghetti pesto with seafood, quesadilla, and baked seafood pie. Some of their signature dishes in this department would have to be the Moroccan Grilled Lemon Chicken, and Almond Crusted Sole Vill Fillet.
Naturally, this meal would not be complete without desserts, and the folks at Strada understand this well. At Strada, customers can enjoy dessert items like tiramisu, creme caramel, brownies, and rum balls with raisin. The highlight dessert is almost certainly their signature baked sour cream banana cheesecake.
