Tanah Aina Cafe
The curry pasta at Tanah Aina Cafe is certainly a prime example of East meets West. At first glance, the most obvious thing is that there’s a generous portion of pasta on the plate, and an equally generous amount of curry sauce to go along with it, making sure no morsel of pasta is left dry. One of the great things about this plate of pasta is that the pasta itself is al dente, making each bite very pleasurable. The sauce tends to lean on the creamy side as opposed to the spicy side, making it have great flavour to match well with the pasta.

Windmill’s Pasta Seafood Aglio Olio is served al-dente with a springy texture. Every strand is evenly coated with olive oil, their specialty mixed herbs containing rosemary, thyme and parsley alongside a dash of chili powder which adds a spicy spin to the dish. The spiciness is not overwhelming though, with all the flavours of the dish equally prominent. The seafood is fresh with a taste of the ocean. The dory fish is sweet and soft while the tiger prawns are large, juicy and succulent. Whereas, the mussels are completely devoid of any pleasant taste while the rings of squid are crunchy and appetizing. You’ll definitely be compelled to fork more pasta into your mouth as it leaves a pleasant, exotic aftertaste.
