Tryst Cafe
The first thing to note about the pancakes at Tryst Cafe is the attention to detail on the presentation of the dish. Everything from the layering of the pancakes and the meringue, to the streaks on the plate help to make the dish a feast for your eyes. For the "Pineapple and Kiwi" pancake, the dish is fairly simple as it only has a few ingredients; namely pancakes, pineapples, kiwi, meringue and honey. However, with very few ingredients, the dish can still contain a lot of flavour. The citrus flavour of the honey and fruits is in contrast with the richness and heaviness of the fluffy pancakes and the creamy meringue that is carefully spread in between the layers of pancake, giving the dish a well rounded flavour profile. There is also a green tea pancake which is worth bringing up as the sweetness from the chocolate sauce, the meringue layers from the stack of pancakes, and the crushed Oreo on the top; which gives a lot of depth to the overall sweetness as opposed to being too filled with sugar. The green tea flavour from the pancakes gives a light, earthy flavour that helps to counter and balance the obvious sweetness from the dish, which is an additional dimension to the dish that works well. So if like your pancakes with a slightly unique twist, look no further than the pancakes at Tryst Cafe.

AMPM Cafe
Not only is AMPM famous for its breakfast menu, it also offers a wide range of desserts which includes Banana Pancake with their signature Butterscotch sauce. Though the pancake was pretty dense and thick, the butterscotch sauce was pretty amazing. The balance of sweet and saltiness was just right as it complements the pancake entirely.More info- Closed Now

Jc’s Pancake
Instead of the conventional pancakes that most cafés offer, JC Pancake focuses more towards the localized version – Apam. Obtainable from most Malaysian Night Market, Apam has gained massive reputation for being simple, cheap and easy to eat – best as a supper snack. JC Pancake’s selection of Apam isn’t that far off either. Serving traditional Apam with a slight twist with added ingredients. Banans, chicken, tuna, eggs and various other are only part of the medley.More infoJc’s Pancake View restaurant

Map’s Cafe
Founded by the same owners of That Latte Place, comes a new, fun and simple café located in Sunway. Map’s Café does not only serve all day breakfast but a range of desserts and coffee as well. As weird as it may sound, their sunny side-up eggs on strips of yummy bacon with roasted potatoes on pancakes was undeniably unique. Not only does it have a different sense of taste but texture as well. Definitely well worth the try!More infoMap’s Cafe View restaurant

Brewyard Coffee
Brewyard coffee started their business on the 2nd of May 2014, which was a few shops away from Cosans Coffee which was also relatively new. Apart from its fancy décor and laser-cut signage, Brewyard coffee isn’t totally oblivious to the breakfast world. Serving more than 10 all day menus, 5 sides and 4 desserts; it has definitely increased the level of competition within the area. Their selection of desserts and pancakes are no different eitherMore infoLooking for more?
