La Gourmet Desserts 乜都撈
La Gourmet Desserts' version of the durian dessert isn't all that fancy, but it still does pack enough of durian goodness. The Mango & Durian Loh is a prime example of both refreshing and sweet. Shaved iced, plenty of sago, cubes of mango and two scoops of durian plumps - a combination of the worthy. It has a good array of texture, as well as a balance of flavour which everybody would enjoy. Though those who hate durian would probably stay away from it.

Odeen CornerCertified
halalFried durian craze has definitely boomed throughout Johor Bahru, and this modest restaurant plays a big part in it. Their extensive menu includes Western, local and Thai delicacies but leaving the soothing space without delving down their durian fritters would be insane. You’ll commonly spot plenty of baskets with plump golden fritters rushing off the kitchen doors, make sure nabbing one. The warm and crispy crust snuggly wraps the creamy durian that bursts to the fore at each bite, imprinting a moment that lives in your core memory forever.

Sofie Cendol (New & Fresh)
Durian and cendol together? Now that’s a sinfully satisfying dessert that is nothing short of delicious. This humble stall at the heart of Taman Suria has been doling out a range of cendols that gets a nod from all walks of life, especially those who go head over heels for durian. The icy concoction is bathed with Gula Melaka and coconut milk, and liberally loaded with pandan-grass jellies and red beans, then the show-stopping moment, an ambrosial piece of durian is perched atop. The creamy flesh blissfully binds with the whole dish, pumping in a distinctive texture and taste that will have you licking the bowl clean.
