Best Curry Mee in Kuching

It may be odd to be dining at a market, especially with all the raw food and vegetables around. But not to worry, the curry mee here is well worth the effort. The broth is not only rich in flavour, but has a deep seafood essence. You can choose your own choice of noodles, be it yellow, bee hoon or even both - pretty standard. All and all, the bowl of curry mee itself is delicious and slurp-worthy. 

As the name suggests, this restaurant is based of food available in Hong Kong and Macau. Inside, the decor is fairly bland with a use of orange as their main colour - perhaps to promote friendliness and joy. Regardless, they still offer a pretty decent bowl of curry mee, one that is well seasoned and rich in flavour. The noodles are fairly humble - just bee hoon. Overall, it's a fair bowl of curry mee, nothing too fancy, nothing too bad.

The Kubah Ria Hawker Center is home to many delicious dishes. Though they may not be the fanciest, they do whip out a pretty decent meal. The curry mee is similar, it is decent in portion with a good grasp on its flavour. Noodles are cooked nicely and it is accompanied by a generous spread of toppings. Simple, affordable and delicious.

SCR is home to wide range of local favourites - mainly chicken chop, chicken rice, fried rice, and of course, the curry mee as well. Everything here is what you'll consider 'back to basics' as the dishes are merely served on a white plate with no efforts in decoration. However, it does taste pretty nice and everything is fairly affordable. So if you're looking for a casual place with affordable and good food, this is one worth visiting. 

Good Corner Coffee Shop is a casual place with a very limited menu. Though it has several stalls, they are each only famous for one of their signature dishes. One of which is the Sarawak Curry Mee which has a good amount of depth and richness from the broth. The toppings also include shrimps, chicken strips, beansprout and strips of beancurd. It does feel fairly hearty but pretty sure one bowl wouldn't be enough. 

If variety is something you seek, then Green Hill Corner may do you justice. With so many stalls to choose from, you'll hardly run out of food to eat. Though of course, this only applies when you're in the mood for some curry mee and your friends or family don't. As for you, the broth of the curry mee is cooked for long hours to ensure maximum flavour. Noodles are done quite nicely and the toppings are generous as well. In short, you're in for a treat.
