As the name suggests, one would've already guessed that Cottle Coffee is a place for a rich and aromatic cup of coffee. This cafe, which uses beans imported directly from their own roasters in Australia (yes, their parent companies roast beans) provides a rich and aromatic blend from various continents. There are also single origins available for those who knows what they would like to have. One recommendation would definitely be the Magic- which is made with two shots of Ristrestto, giving it a slightly more rich and acidic taste.

With the name of the café, you’ll just wish that they serve food as literal as its title. Fat Spoon Café specializes in Halal Nyonya inspired food that’s operated by two sisters. It’s located at Damansara Uptown (the same row as Wondermilk). Unlike other new cafés that are popping up everywhere, Fat Spoon Café will remind you of Malacca as its entrance and exterior decoration is purposely designed to look old. With rusty walls and old windows, it will definitely remind you of the old buildings in Malacca. Their coffee varieties are normal, though their iced lattes and coffees with a choice of ice cream or without will make you very indecisive.
    Tips

    Horrendous parking, closed on Mondays

Launched in 2008, Hometown Hainan Kopitiam is a restaurant that’s created out of reminiscence. They call themselves the Koh family and their grandfather travelled down from Hainan to Malaya back in 1899 to work at the kopitiam. Everything was made by hand and with modern technology and appliances these days, the family has decided to produce the same quality of good Hainanese food and beverages from scratch through innovation. Way cheaper than regular coffee, Hainanese coffee is somewhat similar to the kopitiam coffee that’s available outside but more fragrant!
    Tips

Main meals are pretty filling, sharing is a great idea!

    Things to expect

    Decent coffee, Hainanese décor.

    Best with
