Located just a few doors away from the Swiss Hotel, it is also near Petaling Street if you’re not familiar with the busy streets of Kuala Lumpur. One thing that separates the chicken rice in Kam Kee and other places is that Kam Kee uses both free-ranged and farm-ranged chickens. The owner of Loke Yun, Phang Kee Kim, was given the “King of Hainanese Chicken Rice” award by Guang Ming Daily back in 2007. Although it’s a bit hard to find its location, the good food and excellent service made up for it. Located at a narrow alley way of hawker centres of Jalan Ipoh and the intersection of Jalan Kuching, not only does this stall serve chicken rice, they also serve soup with huge pork balls! The soya sauce used for the chicken dressing is not the regular ones you get to taste outside, it is a special blend of a denser recipe. Hence, the colour of the sauce is darker too.More info
