Alchemist Dessert Café
Having a hearty breakfast is indeed quite comforting. Especially if you’re a student around the SS15 area, you’ll definitely love what Alchemist has to offer. Though we understand that quality is better than quantity, but the thing is, why not both? With 7 different types of ingredients, all cooked to perfection – why not? Especially the scrambled eggs which was perfectly seasoned and creamy at the same time. Finally, instead of toasts, you’re offered a piece of Belgian waffle! Not a fan of coffee? Wash it all down with Mango Tango Mojito. Okay students, calm down, its non-alcoholic.

Jibby & Co
Jibby & Co could possibly be one of the most popular or well-heard-of café within the Subang Jaya vicinity. Probably due to the massive sharing and photo-tagging on social media platforms. Regardless, Jibby & Co Café absolutely deserves a spot on the Best Big Breakfast in Subang Jaya. Generously serving fresh poached, scrambled or fried eggs on toasts, sausages, sautéed mushrooms, grilled tomatoes and hash browns that were well seasoned and simply delicious. Not to be missed, their mocktail, called Boo Boo's Special goes well with this breakfast for champions!

Tryst Cafe
With such a unique name, it wasn’t easy to forget them. And according to Merriam-Webster’s English Dictionary, Tryst is translated to “A private, romantic rendezvous between lovers” which might be a little uncomfortable if you’re planning a trip there alone. Apart from their sweet escapade, they actually do serve a beautiful array of breakfast dishes and desserts. The big breakfast was no exception with everything placed on the plate being relatively cooked nicely and well seasoned. If your partner is a small eater, it doesn't get more romantic than sharing a delicious platter together. What could you ask for more than a cup of coffee?

Upstairs Café
Certified
halalOpened for several years now and has been serving one of the most affordable coffee and cakes in Subang Jaya. Not only do they sell a Mint Chocolate Brownie for RM3 per piece, they also have one of the best Red Velvet Cake in the neighbourhood. Hold on, you might be eager to kick start with desserts already yet Upstairs Café also excels in serving mains which so happens include a big breakfast. Creamy and fluffy scrambled eggs, baked beans, sautéed mushrooms, grilled tomato, turkey bacon and sausages. The ingredients are pretty usual but the flavour was well balanced.

Brewyard coffee started their business on the 2nd of May 2014, which was a few shops away from Cosans Coffee which was also relatively new. Apart from its fancy décor and laser-cut signage, Brewyard coffee isn’t totally oblivious to the breakfast world. Serving more than 10 all day menus, 5 sides and 4 desserts, they have definitely increased the level of competition within the area. Its big breakfast is no different either. Expect a hefty portion of rudimentary ingredients cooked and seasoned to perfection. Simple, yet delicious. And of course, no walking out without a cup of java.

Good Friends Restaurant & Café
Good Friends Café is one of the latest additions to Subang Jaya’s array of cafes this year. Unlike many, it isn’t as extravagant nor designer-like as Grey Sky Morning or even Mr & Ms Cafe. However, they do offer quality food and drinks without burning a hole in your wallet. The Big Breakfast costs RM20; which comes with lots of scrambled eggs, sautéed mushrooms, chicken sausages, grilled tomatoes, salad and toasts. Despite having the scrambled eggs seasoned unevenly, the dish as an overall was surprisingly good. If you miraculously still have some space left in your stomach, do try their popsicles.

Souka Bake Shop
As their weekend breakfast menu had only been introduced recently, there's not many items on the menu. However, like all breakfast, the big breakfast is most popular - and this is Souka Bake Shop's version of it. Served with country style hash, beef bacon, grilled tomatoes, toasts and a bowl of seasoned baked beans. The combination of flavour is relatively light and pleasant as not one element overpowers the other. Also, country style is also quite new in the market, as not many cafes serve. A common here, be sure to keep some space for cheesecakes.

AMPM Café
AMPM Café has been gaining reputation pretty rapidly over course of its opening. This includes Instagram posts, media write-ups and blog reviews about the place. However, it is no doubt that they’re getting noticed as their big breakfast was simply a joy to the palate. Rich, flavourful and spicy kidney beans served with spicy sausage, poached eggs on toasts, grilled tomatoes and sautéed mushrooms were absolutely divine. You know the trick, prick open the egg, allowing the yolk to enhance the flavours to a whole new level. The combination was rather simple but the results were balanced, intense and harmonious.

The Carpenter's Daughter
Carpenter's Daughter is helmed at the busiest area of Subang, Taipan USJ. They've also been around for quite a long time and is famed for their wide range of healthy yet delicious breads and pastries. Similarly, even their version of the big breakfast has been bumped a level higher. It comes with tuna sandwich, a pie, muesli salad, yoghurt parfait and a glass of orange juice. Not many would consider this as the norm for big breakfast, but it certainly does fill you up regardless, and of course it's pretty delicious too.

Meteora Cafe
Certified
halalIf you enjoy dangling light-balls hanging from the ceiling, then you're gonna love Meteora Cafe (because they have light-balls hanging from the ceiling). Located at the not-so-popular part of USJ - Taipan 2, Meteora Cafe is another great place where you can enjoy a stunning array of Western delicacies. Though most of it is just pasta, big breakfast, cakes and coffee. Scrambled eggs, beef bacon, baked beans, sauteed mushroom and a side of toast is what you'll find, so don't expect too much out of it. Fortunately, it's done pretty well.

La Bodega
Similar to its Bangsar counterpart, La Bodega does not only stir up some great mix in alcohol, they do offer quite a decent tasting breakfast as well. Like every standard big breakfast out there, it includes scrambled or poached eggs on toasts, sauteed mushrooms and potatoes, juicy grilled sausages, tomatoes and beef bacon. Though not seasoned perfectly, each element does compliment well with one another. For does of you who prefer a glass or two of tipple, you're in safe hands, while those of you who stick with coffees, you're never leaving disappointed too.

Bedrock Cafe
Bedrock Cafe is one of the latest additions to the cafe market in USJ, offering a mix of Western and local delights in its simple but contemporary looking place. Unlike most places, Bedrock Cafe's big breakfast does not come with any form of bacon. Instead, raw salmon are used in replacement, alongside fluffy scrambled eggs, potato rosti, garden salad and a side of toast. Everything is nicely cooked (except for the salmon), and seasoned as well. It's simple, affordable and ultimately, delicious. Pair up the colourful platter with freshly brewed coffee.
