While they don't usually serve banana leaf rice, Restoran Alif decides to do just that. As one of the resident Indian Muslim restaurant in Kuantan that offers the usual Mamak menu, one could also satisfy their Banana Leaf Rice cravings here. A set would come with three vegetable sides for free, acar and papadum, and one could also add a type of meat to the dish if one so prefers. The curry is delightful, the side dishes are rich and flavourful, plus the crunch from the papadums, and you have a yourself a worthy meal.More info

Kuantan may not have a wide variety of dishes but the things that they do, they sure do it well. Take Kuantan Curry House's Banana Leaf Rice for instance, while the portion and the ingredients are more or less the same with their competitors, the taste of each and the flavour when mixed is what made this restaurant be considered as one of the best place in Kuantan to have banana leaf rice. The strong aspect of this establishment lies with their fish; either Spanish mackerel or breams coated with spices and deep-fried till crispy, it serves as a completion like no other.
