Goon Wah Restaurant
Goon Wah restaurant may have been notoriously popular for their XO Fish Head noodle, but today, they have expanded their menu to create many new interesting recipes, most of which have been incorporated with the idea of cooking in a claypot. Case in point are their Guinness Stout Chicken Wings and Braised Pork Belly with Yam. Despite not giving much importance for presentation, the portions are pretty generous. This restaurant is pretty small, hence the additional ‘alfresco’ dining at the 5-foot-walkway, but overall you’ll enjoy its good food in this decent dining place.

Loong Seng
A prominent choice for those who wish for their wallets to remain intact, this establishment whips up piping hot baskets and trays of dim sum for a much affordable price range. You must be carrying a rabbit’s foot if you land a table here, especially during lunch hours, as many surf through the crowds for a taste of goodness. Don’t be intimidated though, it’s a sure sign that the compendium of dim sums here will send you sky high. What better sidekick to accompany the delectable morsels than their BBQ Pork bun.

Canton-i
Canton-i is the sibling of Dragon-i, with a major difference in menu and dining style. Dragon-I is fit for those who are looking at things that are a little more luxurious, while Canton-I focuses on the comfort food of Hong Kong. Things like wanton mee, roasted meat with rice, congee and dim sum are what they're serving. They're also really popular for their range of side dishes, which has similar resemblance to Dragon-I, but still retain a certain identity on its own. Each dish is carefully cooked to perfection, ensuring that quality is retained.

Looking for some delicious Char Siew? and do you love Hakka Mee? Well, My Toast n Roast could definitely satiate those cravings that you have. The Hakka Mee and Char siew rice is the most famous of all dishes available from the restaurant, but dont count out the Siew Yok rice and WanTan Mee. Looking really neat and clean with a little more modern furnishings with brick, concrete, and tiled flooring; not entirely redefining a chicken rice shop but it definitely retains what is great. Despite the lack of air conditioning, the ambiance is definitely better than your typical chicken rice shop.More infoMy Toast n Roast View restaurant

Famed as one of the best restaurants for Bak Kut Teh in SS9, many would compare the bah kut teh here to the ones in bah kut teh central; Klang. The mouthwatering herbal broth, tender meats, fresh and green vegetables all mix so well marvelously within a beautiful union in claypot. The restaurant's layout is your typical tiled floored and fan ventilated shop lot, so it might get a little stuffy during the peak hours of lunch and dinner. If you are ever on a road trip or if you are looking for a good wholesome meal with the family, here's a really good place to go to.

Kingdom Palace
The food quality presented by Kingdom Palace Restaurant had never disappointed you.Sauteed baby spinach with soy bean dregs - you will wonder how they managed to make the dregs crispy reminiscing dried shrimp texture but it is oh-so-good to go with the vegetable. Fisherman's fried rice - a favourite of the small ones where they serve the fried rice in a huge bamboo basket covered with aluminium foil with the fresh prawns on top. The rice has the fragrant from the butter and garlic.
