Spade’s Burger is located in Ideal Avenue (commonly referred to as I-Avenue by locals) in Bayan Lepas. This burger joint is hugely favoured by locals and tourists alike and had been going strong since their establishment three years ago. The place is often crowded and finding an empty table during peak hours like lunch and dinner is quite a challenge.

The entire restaurant runs by a self-service system. The menu is displayed in a mind map form on the wall and it can be quite confusing for first timers. However, upon studying it, you will realize that you just have to decide what patty you want: pork, fish, chicken or mushroom. The rest will be easy. You just have to place your order at the counter, take a numbered card which looks like a poker card and collect your burger when it is ready. The drinks are also refillable and you’ll be given a paper cup. The interior of the restaurant itself is simple and comfortable with wooden tables and metal chairs.

Do sample their Burgers, especially Pork 2.0, consisting of pork patty sandwiched between cheese crisp and topped with candied bacon. The cheese crisp is unique and delicious. It retains the slightly salty of cheese while having a thin-cracker like texture. The patty is tender and juicy, going perfectly with the cheese crisp while the thickly-cut bacon is perfectly baked and glazed with sugar. Mario Burger is also good, with pork patty and portabella mushroom accompanied by fresh salad and grilled tomatoes. The oozing sauce makes the burger even more delectable!

By topping up RM5 to your burger, you can obtain their set including a glass of bottomless soft drink and Fries. The fries are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, sprinkled with a tinge of parsley. Paired with their secret sauce which consists of ranch, mustard and garlic, you will not be able to stop devouring it. Portabella Mushroom Fries are also available, consisting of soft mushroom encapsulated within crispy skin.
