One of the famous food court would be the Pantai Timur Café located at Paya Terubong, Penang. This coffee shop is home to many hawker stalls which regularly run during dinner time up until supper.

 





Here, you can find only one stall selling Yong Tau Foo. Customers can choose from a wide range of picks from fried items to soup items, and not to forget the stewed pork. Generous portion of veggies like lady fingers, bitter gourd, red chilies, brinjals and silky soft tau foo are also available on the menu. You will love the plentiful amount fish paste stuffed in the vegetables. If you are more into fried items, they also offer wantan, tau foo pok, sui kow and foo pei that are made on the spot to keep the freshness of the yong tau foo.

 

Apart from that, you can also enjoy Belacan fried rice at only RM3.50. Once it is served, you can instantly smell the scented aroma of the rice. The plate is filled with tender slices of beef in dry curry, green mangoes, chopped peanuts, sweet boiled prawns and fried scrambled eggs as side dishes. When you mixed it all together, you will get savoury, sweet, crunchy and sour flavour all in one bite. That is probably the best part of the whole experience.

 

Curry Mee is also one of the recommended dishes here. At a reasonable price, you will get a big bowl flooding with tau pok, fishcakes, chicken kidneys, one piece of curry chicken, cockles, chewy squids, long beans, potatoes and beansprouts. Yummy! For a variety of Penang street food at a very reasonable price, this one is definitely a great choice.
