Restoran Pak Hassan Kampung Baru City Center

Why Restaurant Pak Hassan Kampung Baru? Famed for the Malaysian all-time breakfast item, Pak Hassan sells only Roti Canai and Nasi Lemak. You might be wondering why the limited choices but once you get a taste of it you would be satisfied with whatever you are having. Located right opposite of the DBKL building, Pak Hassan uses a Roti recipe dated back to the 1930s which he improvised from his father’s original recipe. Although this small roadside stall has limited seats and a long queue all day long, but nothing is stopping us fellow Malaysians to get a taste of the infamous Nasi Lemak and Roti Canai here.

With all the customers coming in non-stop, Pak Hassan has applied a pretty systematic and organized operating system. The tip is to go with groups and divide the tasks of getting seats, ordering food and ordering drinks. 4 lines are formed in the place, each for eat-in Roti, takeaway Roti, drinks and Nasi Lemak. The Nasi Lemak here is served with fragrance rice and dishes of your choice, the best thing would be that you could take as much as you wish.

If you want to compare the lines then I would say that the Roti line would be slightly longer than the others as the demand is high. Limited variations of Roti are offered here but the quality of it would not disappoint you for sure. Specially made to pair with the crispy yet soft Roti Canai is the chicken feet curry which could only be found here. It may seem exotic but the richness and essence of the chicken feet is what people come for.

The overwhelming long queue seems like it would take up the patience of many but as much as Malaysians are not patient on the road, they are always willing to be patient for good food.
