Sandwiched between two tall buildings, one can easily miss
this hidden gem in an alleyway. Because this humble stall does not have a legit
name to be recognized with, it is only known for steamed fish (Tilapia) and some other
dishes that are being included. For a landmark, locate Restoran Fei Por Chicken
Rice and just proceed directly opposite the road you will be able to find it.
Not to be confused with Thim Kee Steamed Fish, this is
located at 211, Jalan Pudu. Nicely seasoned with chives, garlic and a dark, thick
sweet sauce, the Tilapia Fish has brought this nameless coffee shop to a well-known
sensation.
To make it even better, they have other dishes similar to other Chinese
stir-fry restaurants, namely the salted egg chicken, sweet and sour pork ribs,
stir-fried kangkung and many more. A definite plus point for you to keep a lookout for this place is because even with 3 dishes, the price is very reasonable and is far cheaper than other stir-fry restaurants. Quality-wise, it is still above average so for those who would like to enjoy a variety of dishes can definitely pop by. A very potential place for a big family gathering with great food and not a very crowded atmosphere. This place has a series of opening times so do take note. They
are opened during lunch hours and then will take a short break before opening
up for dinner. And as the usual restaurants, the preferable rest day is on Mondays.
