Best Bakeries in KL

Written by Updated ago

Whether it’s for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner or even supper, bread is versatile enough as an anytime-pick-me-up wholesome meal. More than just a mass-produced plain white loaf from the grocers or supermarket, bread comes in many varieties. Rye bread, pita bread, bagel, French loaf, pizza, bread roll. Did you know that even cakes are considered a type of bread? In recent years, traditional mom-and pop bakeries have become a thing of the past as their existence has been overshadowed by the more fancy and artisan establishments that have come to dominate the bakery scene. Here on FoodAdvisor, we list a selection of the best bakeries in Kuala Lumpur.

Rankings of all participants as visible on our listings are solely voted by you, our beloved readers. With that said, we would encourage you to please vote for your preferred participants in order to ensure their rightful positions ranking-wise on our portal. Thank you!

This bakery cum cafe is definitely a favourite neighbourhood joint with its irresistible scent of freshly baked bread. Mix-and-match to create your very own high tea with their wide variety of pastries available. Do try out their Banana Butterscotch Danish; with its fresh and sweet banana filling in a crispy danish pastry. You may also give its cousin, the Peach Danish, a try, too. With its juicy and plump succulent peaches in a pastry shell, it is absolutely delectable. For a savoury dish, you could opt for corned beef and cheese puff. Well portioned and seasoned beef with gooey cheese in a puff - sinfully good! You could also try their tomato and basil sauce with their baguette. The sauce might be a tad watery at first sight, but fret not as it somehow complements and softens the baguette. You could end your high tea on a chocolate-y note with their chocolate bun. A soft bun stuffed with generous amounts of chocolate cream, it leaves you wanting more. Utterly unmissable.
