Wake Me Up Cafe Petaling Jaya

Situated somewhere in between along Jalan SS2 PJ, Wake Me Up Cafe not long ago opened its door to the crowd back in mid 2015 putting forth dishes of Westerners and also some of the local’s favorites.  Tucked in between row of shops overlooking stretch of houses, this cafe is a total gem of the neighborhood that quietly sits outside of the hustle and bustle of the city and yet the folks who have been here would definitely regard this place as a catch.

They have a wide variety of food from favorite local dishes to western dishes with a twist. You know how whenever you hear the word "Aglio Olio" your mind automatically thinks of a seafood pasta? Guess what? For all you pasta lovers, over here at Wake Me Up cafe, instead of serving the basic seafood aglio olio, they instead have a "Pork Bacon and Mushroom Aglio Olio"! This dish is really unlike anything we've ever tasted, the sweetness from the bacon gives the pasta a unique yet very delicious taste. This is something you should really try!

For those who do like fruits in their savory food have a reason to rejoice:  The "Aloha Burger"  is made up of a beef patty topped with cheese, bacon, lettuce, honey mustard dressing, and a pineapple round sandwiched in between two buns and served with a generous amount of fries. Fans of the burger say that it's the perfect combination of sweet, sour, and beefy flavors that makes the Aloha burger amazing.

Next is the "Tonkatsu Toast!" Tonkatsu is a Japanese dish of a pork cutlet that has been coated in flaky panko breadcrumbs then deep-fried. Here at Wake Me Up Cafe, this toast is one of their best-sellers! The Tonkatsu is very crispy and seasoned very well. It's then put in between to pieces of bread that has been slightly seasoned with mustard and mayonnaise. Make sure you have enough serviettes with you as this dish can get a little messy.
