欢迎光临,
Welcome! Mala Cantine is a restaurant originated from Chongqing, China. It provides personal-sized pots which located in Petaling Jaya. The idea of having this concept is because it is more comfortable for those who don’t like to share a same pot with others or for those who more care about their personal hygiene. Besides that, according to the owner, he mentioned that mostly in Chongqing the 20s (younger generation) will more preferred in having personal-sized pots while the 80s (elder generation) will more preferred in having the traditional steamboat. You may also have your meal here with your vegetarian’s friend since they also provide vegetarian soup bases.

Spicy beef slices is a dish that mostly Chongqing’s people will eat when they are having mala hotpot which gives extra spicy taste for them and this is also one of the signature dish in Mala Cantine. For those who like to take a challenge, you should also give it a try.

Mala Cantine also provide side dishes which are SzeChuan pepper fried pork slices, SzeChuan pepper chicken chop, Signature fried dumplings, Chives pork dumplings and Szechuan lok lok. The fried chicken has a crunchy surface and is soft in the inside which the dumplings are also wrapped with full fillings inside.

This is definitely one of the dish that I recommended you guys to try it out although it looks simple but I really get surprised because there is a scent that will emanate in your mouth when you bite it. This is lettuce root and it shouldn’t be eaten with Mala soup but should eat with collagen soup or mushroom soup because Mala soup may cover the taste of it. By the way, there’s a tips for you guys. If you’re having mala hotpot, you can make your own dipping sauce with garlic, parsley, sesame oil and fuyu sauce. This can make the taste of your food more outstanding.

After eating Mala hotpot, most Chongqing people would like to drink tea. The top 3 Chinese tea recommended by the owner are Chongqing Bamboo Green Tea, Strawberry Coconut Pu’er Tea and Xi Hu Long Jing. Drinking tea after eating mala helps you feel refreshing and it can also help you to remove excess oil from your body.

If you’re craving for mala hotpot and looking a place for celebrating family day or friends gathering, Mala Cantine is definitely a place to be. The good news is now they are having an opening promotion until 13th October which you will get a RM10 discount once you spent up to RM100. The code for this promotion is Fmala100.
