As the number of cafes in Ipoh begin to rise, one often questions the reliability or existence of good coffee. For coffee lovers, you may want to take a look at this humble place. As minimalist as can be, it is revolved around a drawn figure named Ficca, a cat of the owner’s creation. The place is arranged into a very comfortable design and is not overly done. White-washed chairs are paired with wooden tables and a very delightful and neat bar in the middle.

The main focus for this café and particularly the coffee. Because the owner himself is already avid coffee connoisseur, he would like to use his knowledge that he has gotten from China, particularly from Guangzhou to educate patrons about coffee and to cultivate the attitude of appreciating coffee not as an art, but as a beverage. Other than the usual latte or cappucino served in all cafes, there are about forty different types of coffee available here but the pride of the café is the range of single-origin coffee and alcohol. Single-origin coffee is basically coffee beans grown within a single known geographic origin. There are three ways to serve the single-origin coffee: one by the classic pour over, by syphon or French press which uses a special coffee cup. They have coffee cocktails as well so head on over to try some out. To control the quality of beverages, only properly filtered water is used. They also make alcoholic coffee for those who want to feel an additional kick.

Because of this, there used to be no main meals served in Ficca's and it is really known as just basically a well-managed coffee center for all. Nevertheless, they have some snacks like French Fries and nuggets but cooked healthily using an air fryer. But now, with the additional customers swarming in, they decide to add in some homemade sandwiches and a few other dishes which are available during their chosen promotion period.

Various desserts like their famous brownie and different flavoured cakes can also accompany your coffee at any time of the day.
