Food trucks have started a revolution. An idea that’s
familiar in the West, the same idea of convenient cooked and easy to eat food is
simple to comprehend. An idea that is slowly growing and gaining attention,
food trucks provide good tasting food for a lesser price than that you would
get of a static restaurant.
One such truck is called Spagme. Spagme is a mobile restaurant
that serves a small variety of pasta dishes. In keeping it simple, there are
only 3 choices of sauces to choose from, but patrons have a choice to add on a
type of protein into the mix. The normal spaghetti is a combination with egg,
chicken sausage, and ham at a more than affordable price. By paying a little
bit more would give you the option to add on tempura fish, chicken fillet or
spicy lamb for a heavier meal.
The truck is done up in a bright orange with hipster art
decorations so it is very hard to miss. The truck moves around various
locations, usually around Damansara’s Jalan Dungun or City Centre, and
occasionally Ampang’s Wisma MCA; if you happen to be around the area, do look
out for such truck.
Recently,
Spagme decide to stay rooted in one spot for a change and opened a kiosk at
Da:Men mall in USJ. Although the idea of a mobile joint is interesting and new,
this new kiosk caters to people around the area and those who feel inconvenient to catch a moving truck in effort to share the revolution of Spagme with a wider
audience.
