Whenever a new food trend emerges, restaurants are quick to jump onto the bandwagon. This includes KOPI Café as they leaped into the salted egg trend with both feet! From salted egg yolk burgers, chicken rice, pasta to fries, they were all coated generously with salted egg yolk sauce. Located in Setia Alam, this cafe will definitely be a heaven for salty food lovers.
Established in 2017, KOPI Café is a family-friendly place to dine in and have a good cup of coffee. Their interior is well lit and embellished! You will immediately find it to be a cosy place to chill in! Bring the children along as they will be delighted to have fun in the kids’ play area.
The friendly owner introduced us to their Signature series of salted egg dishes: Ultraman burger (RM15), Salted Egg Chicken Rice (RM14), Salted Egg Prawn Pasta (RM17), French Fries with Salted Egg Yolk Sauce (RM8) and Chicken Nugget with Salted Egg Yolk Sauce (RM10). Furthermore, they also served us their Signature Ice Kopi (RM12.90) which had the most adorable Hello Kitty ice cubes and Rose Latte (RM10.90).
Their dishes were all very delicious! Our personal favourites would be their Ultraman burger (RM15) and Salted Egg Prawn Pasta (RM17). The Ultraman Burger came in such a large portion that we had to share it with each other. It came with a deep-fried chicken chop “patty” sandwiched between 2 black crusty buns, dripping and oozing with salted egg yolk sauce! The Salted Egg Prawn Pasta was also equally fantastic, as it was extremely creamy and filled up our bellies very quickly!
