Hadramawt Restaurant & Catering Ampang

Hadramawt is a restaurant that specialises in authentic Yemeni and Middle Eastern food as well as local gourmets. With its first store established in Kuala Lumpur since January 2008, it was one of the first restaurants in the country to offer this type of cuisine. The restaurant’s interior is inspired by Arabic elements with decorations like carved wooded motifs, colorful lamps and tapestries, all of which help to provide an ambience resembling that of Hadramawt town in Yemen. It is regularly noted that the more spacious restaurant of the Hadramawt line, located at Jalan Ampang (next to RISDA), and can accommodate large parties or functions. The ground floor is fashioned to be an orthodox dining area, while the upper floor holds the shisha lounges.


When it comes to the food, all the recipes are derived from the original Yemeni recipes. As such, customers can expect dishes such as cheese sahwiq, Moroccan Harira soup, egg mullawah, as well as a number of Middle Eastern rice dishes (often called nasi arab) such as chicken mendy, lamb kabsa, lamb haneeth, lamb madghout, and a whole lot more which can be enjoyed with some flatbread and a number of hommus varieties.
