Salam Corner is a well known Mamak restaurant in Ipoh. Salam Corner was one of the first, if not, the first 24-hour Mamak restaurant around the area, which dates as far back as the early 90’s. While its customer base has reduced slightly due to the great and inevitable increase of Mamak restaurants like this in the country, a steady stream of customers can still be found here, and the restaurant has also made the necessary adjustments along the way to stay relevant in this day and age after all this time.

As far as the food is concerned, you can still expect to find the favourite dishes that you would regularly find at most, if not, all Mamak restaurants such as roti canai, murtabak, nasi kandar, tosai, maggi goreng, nasi lemak, chapati, and much more. However, one of the standouts in this menu is the roti tisu, which appears to be much taller than most and is a favourite among the regulars here.

One instance of this restaurant adapting to the times is shown by their outsourcing of GZ Hookah as their dedicated shisha vendor to match the rising demand for it in the past few years. As far as drinks to help wash down your meal, you can expect to find a similar trend to that in their food, with drinks like milo, coffee, tea, syrup, and much more.

So if you’re looking for a great place to kick back and watch a game of football, and have some food, shisha and drinks to go along, Salam Corner gets the job done.
