Korean House Restaurant Bukit Baru

Korean House Restaurant is a Korean restaurant in Bukit Baru, Melaka. In a state filled with many Korean Restaurants, Korean House Restaurant is able to stand out in a number of ways. The first thing to note is that unlike most Korean restaurants that occupy a shoplot, this one is actually a house (as the name would surprisingly imply). The two storey house is comprised of a ground floor that is entirely dedicated to all the happening in the restaurant, be it cooking, preparatory work, etc.; while the upper floor is living quarters for the owners, Mr. Albert Lee Won Tae and his wife, who are known to be very respectful and cordial with their customers.

Where the food is concerned, there are a few things that are implemented differently at Korean House Restaurant compared to other Korean restaurants. The first thing to note is that by default, 12 non-refillable sides (commonly referred to as banchan) are given for every serving of BBQ meat, as opposed to most places that have refillable banchan. The banchan served here includes items such as kimchi, fish cakes, bean sprouts, mushrooms, lotus root, sausages, potatoes, broccoli, and many more. Another interesting thing to note is that all the vegetables served here are fresh from the garden, ensuring a more pleasurable eating experience. Like most Korean restaurants, customers can expect to find favourites like Korean pancakes, kimchi soup, Bimbimbap, and steamed eggs to name a few.

So if you’re looking for Korean food with a more comfortable and homelike ambience, Korean House Restaurant is the place to be.
