San Terri Cottage has always been famous for two things - cakes and hightea. Their exquisite range of cakes has loyal customers coming back each week and demanding the same thing over and over again. This pattern has been repeated over the years.
Beginning with the high-tea set, it comes with two decks, each with its own set of items. On top, you'll get a scrumptious selection of tarts, sandwiches and custard pancake and on the bottom, chiffon cake and sandwiches. Each serving of high-tea set comes with a pot of tea. Do not be fooled by its unassuming appearance as the tea itself is rather premium. Currently, only San Terri Cottage has this range of tea in the market.
Blueberry Fruit Tea, Peach Fruit Tea, Apple Rose Fruit Tea, Digestive Series, Anti Aging Series, Relaxation Series and Slimming Series are some of the available ones as of this moment. They are also planning to bring in 2 more, making it a total of 9 types of teas to choose.
Moving on to the cakes, it is without a doubt that variety is one of San Terri Cottage's forte. Featuring more than 15 types of cakes available, here some a few signature selections that have made the pick.
The Green Tea Cake is one of the most popular, both for its aesthetics and flavour. Done to be not as sweet, this slice of cake uses high-quality ingredients and premium matcha powder, crafted from scratch. The result is a balanced and well-flavoured cake, with a lightness in its sponge and a tad bit of cream in between to moisten things up.
Next on the list is a slice of incredibly moist and smooth, chocolate cake. Although it is not as sweet as others, the cake itself is incredibly chocolatey. For those who love the taste of chocolate, but not so fond of anything sweet, this cake is the perfect one for you.
Apart from those two signatures, there are also plenty more with cakes such as chiffon, carrot, black sesame, cheesecake, butter-sponge cake and many more. Heck, listing all of them down would be somewhat improbable. Not to mention that they offer 3 different flavours of Swiss Rolls as well. All done with just the right amount of sponge to cream ratio, and is great for breakfast or tea.
All their cakes are freshly baked daily by their in-house team of specialist. It's rare to find a cake being leftover for more than 2 days, so yeah, almost everything you can find here will be fresh.
Now, San Terri Cottage isn't just all about cakes and high-tea as they also offer a wide range of solids as well. Dishes such as big breakfast, sandwiches and salad too are available for those looking to have a heartier meal.
The Big Breakfast range has fairly simple ingredients in it; huge chicken sausage, toasts, salad, baked beans, and one heck of an omelette. Packed with a good amount of flavour, each element in the dish is nicely seasoned and cooked correctly. It isn't however, as extravagant as what most people would expect.
Moving on the sandwiches. Customers can choose from a wide variety of fillings. Be it the BLT, tuna, ham or eggs, all of them are quite delicious.
Last but not least, salads. If you're a big fan of leafy greens and salad dressing, then you're in for a treat. There are 9 types of toppings to choose from; bacon, chicken ham, sausage, egg, homemade tuna, mozzarella, potato, pure and last but not least, coleslaw.
