Takoyaki is one of the many wonders of cheap and fast Japanese snack. Made from wheat flour in a special moulded pan making the Takoyaki in an adorable ball-shape. It is typically filled with diced octopus (tako). Dressed in takoyaki sauce and mayo and drizzeled with green laver- a type of seaweed (aonori) and shavings of dried bonito. The fillings are subbed with other many other ingredients aide from baby octopus. A total delicacy that’s all in from the start. At Takoyaki, Sutera Mall placed right in the middle near IJ Pharmacy you’ll see a glass box shaped with a large red lettering sign ‘Takoyaki’ and a red cartooned octopus displayed above. Seats are placed on all four corners of the small food hut for customers to have a quick bite. Most of the time, customers would order to go as it is convenient to eat when strolling around the mall or just a quick bite to fill your hunger.

There are a few types of Takoyaki served: baby octopus and big octopus (signature dish), cheese and chicken ham and shrimp. Aside from the Takoyaki, Okonomiyaki (Japanese pancake) is served with just a selected few flavours of baby octopus, big octopus, seafood and shrimp. Korokke (Japanese cheese potato) is one of the highlights of the Jap snack They also serve French fries and potato twists with different toppings such as: barbeque, cheesy sauce, hot & spicy, green onion & sour cream, wasabi and garlic. A simple snack shop with only a few options but be sure to savour every bite.
