Best Waffles in KL

Waffles are usually partnered with many colourful purees, scoops of ice cream, and fruits; which is usually what determines your liking for the dish. Here in Le Pont, apart from the crispy and fluffy waffles, you get a side of various combinations. From the homemade berry compote that gives you a tangy element, to the freshly blended sweet chocolate syrup; which uses a variety chocolates to create, each and every component is given the closest attention, and the flavours certainly live up to the tedious workload. A cup of cuppa would be the best match for the delectable waffles. 

Unfortunately, it wasn’t Da Vinci who made those waffles. Though it would be rather interesting to witness him applying his scientific and creative mind onto making waffles and toppings – it would taste absolutely divine we suppose. Having said that, it’s not like it’s the end of the world. Leonardo’s Dining Room and Wine loft does offer pretty good, crispy and aromatic waffles with melted chocolate, butter, honey and ice cream. Though served in a more humble way, the marriage of texture and flavour certainly leaves you wanting more. A slight detour from regular coffees, here one can match waffles with wines. 

In between beers and main courses, Brussels Galerie keeps a selection of dessert for those seeking to have something light and sweet once a while. Their waffle is one such light dessert snack and it's pretty good. Thick and tasty, the waffles reminiscence a homecooked feel as it is not overly soft or hard like conventional store bought waffles. While crispy, it still retains that softness so that it doesn't break entirely in your mouth. Add honey, a strawberry paste and ice cream on top? It's the perfect comfort food to compliment your beer with.
