Sarawak Kolo Mee @ Restoran OK
Upon the first thing you notice in this particular hawker stall at Restoran OK is “100% No Preservative”. Frankly, that sounds comforting enough for an otherwise kolo mee ended up tasting like a packet of instant noodles. Speaking of taste, the kolo mee here has a nice texture of wetness that slips well into your mouth upon consumption. Ingredients-wise, the finely-sliced combo of char siew and fish cakes are both fulfiling, along with a complimentary small bowl of seaweed soup that hits the spot.More infoSarawak Kolo Mee @ Restoran OK View restaurant

Sarawak Cuisine
While the pork-less kolo mee might sounds strange to most food lovers who tried the dish before, the barbequed chicken slices are surprisingly decent enough as a substitute (a result to make the food halal). Other than that, the noodles itself is as springy as lai mien (a.k.a. hand-pulled noodle) with ample amount of fish cakes, chopped spring onions, and fried shallot tossed altogether in a bowl.More infoSarawak Cuisine @ Food Republic, Pavilion View restaurant

If you happen to drop by at the Bangsar area and wanted to crave a bowl of kolo mee, look no further than Kedai Makanan Nam Chun. While the traditional kolo mee can be found here, do go for the red sauce version instead. With the usual goodies such as minced pork and reddish char siew slices thrown into the mix, it lends the kolo mee a delectable taste of sweet-and-palatable delight.More infoKedai Makanan Nam Chun View restaurant

halalThe name of the restaurant says it all: it’s a place specialises in Sarawakian food. Among them, of course, is their signature kolo mee (or “mi kolok” as stated in the menu). But what makes the kolo mee different than most places are the multiple choices you can find here. For instance, there’s Mi Kolok Special that comes with a mouth-watering trio of prawn, chicken and meat slices. What a great combo that adds plenty of different texture to the already-savoury tastes of the kolo mee. If that’s not enough, they even have a fried version of kolo mee with a choice of either prawn or special variety!More infoRestoran Dapur Sarawak View restaurant

Sarawak Kuching Kolok Mee @ Restaurant New 2020
Here’s another place where you can find your gastronomic goodness of kolo mee in the Pandan Indah area. Located within the Restoran New 2020, the place operates as a small stall that also serves decent Sarawak Laksa. But it was the Kuching Kolok Mee that matters the most. Thanks to the flash-boiled thin noodles that are fine and resilient enough to the bite, the kolok (or kolo) mee is also blessed with a satisfying mixture of perfectly lean char siew and flavourful minced pork. To top it off, a few sprinkles of chopped spring onions add crunch to the noodle dish.More infoSarawak Kuching Kolok Mee @ Restaurant New 2020 View restaurant

Face To Face Noodle House @ Pandan Indah
By now, many kolo mee lovers should be familiarised with this green-and-white eatery since it has already been mushrooming at more than 20 outlets nationwide! Pan Mee may have been a favourite here, but the Sarawak Kolo Mee (particularly the traditional flavour) tops the list as a must-try dish. The noodles have a fine taste that isn’t too dry, but contains enough watery texture that goes well with the usual ingredients mixed altogether. Best of all, it was the savoury combination of thinly-sliced char siew and bouncy pork balls that give this kolo mee a mouthful pleasure.More infoFace To Face Noodle House @ Pandan Indah View restaurant
