Best Nasi Arab in KL

Tarbush has been around Kuala Lumpur for the past twenty years and counting now, and still stands as one of the best Middle Eastern restaurants that has graced KL in recent memory. While the establishment has changed quite a lot in these past years, it's still speaks out with it's unbelievable food tasting just as good since the day it opened. These dishes include, but not limited to, kebabs, kebab wraps, hummus dips, grilled meats of all sorts, and Nasi Briyani a la Arabic-style!

We can't tell how much we struggled to not make a "Lawrence of Arabia" joke, because that's how good BBQ Nights really is as one of the most modern and minimalist Arabian restaurants that has graced the hustle and bustle of Kuala Lumpur. Stacks of meat slow-roasted on a low heat to a large variety of meats traditionally grilled on a propane stove, it will always go well with a plate of Nasi Briyani that will sing a tune of Arabian cuisine on your tongue.

Located in the established Taman Melati Utama neighbourhood, Restoran Taj Hadramawt has been around since 2011. Of course, no Middle Eastern cuisine would be complete without savouring their mouthwatering rice selection. For instance, their Lamb Madghout comes highly recommended. Thanks to its secret infusion of Taj Hadramawt’s very own special spices, the rice and the lamb are well combined using pressure-cooker technique. As a result, the rice comes out fluffy and the lamb is soft enough to the bite.

Nestled within the busy stretch of Jalan Radin Anum populated by Chinese eateries, Al Diafah may look like an odd one out but this popular Middle Eastern restaurant knows a thing or two about dishing out tantalising Nasi Arab. First off, the Lamb Mendy (Mandy) rice is fragrantly awesome. Even if you’re not a fan of lamb, the Chicken Mendy is equally unmissable. Both dishes complement well with the accompanying homemade rice sauce.

Unlike most gourmet Middle Eastern restaurants serving Nasi Arab cuisine, D’ Arab Station is more of a contemporary fast food joint. Here, you have a choice of nine combo sets (either chicken or lamb) ranging from individual “Quarter Chicken Meal” to the family-sized “Friend Mixed Meal”. Despite its cheap price, they never skimp on the quality. The rice is moist, while the roasted chicken is nicely seasoned.
