Rasa Utara is one of the more popular outlets that serves a whole lot of Malaysian cuisine, mostly originated from the north. Directly translated as "Taste of North", this restuaurant's version of the mee rebus certainly is worth trying. Not only is it plated beautifully, there are an abundance of various ingredients put to give it that rich and savoury taste. Noodles are cooked perfectly al-dante, along with gravy that coats it evenly. 

Killiney Kopitiam is similar to many other franchised stores out there; Old Town White Coffee, Paparich and Uncle Lee's. Unlike many other who serves their mee rebus is a simpler manner, Killiney Kopitiam prefers to take it up a notch. Filling its bowl with plenty of stuff until its full to the brim. Flavour is also pretty good, but may get a little off sometimes due to the amount of ingredients used. In any case, it's still a pretty good bowl of mee rebus.

It may be a little odd for a satay place to offer mee rebus, but that fact is that they do. They may not be the most flavourful, but this subtle and underlying richness certainly is well worth the try. Noodles are cooked beautifully while the gravy is thick enough to coat each strand with ease. The dish also comes with a whole lot of toppings such as spring onions, fried shrimp, chilli and tofu cubes.

Not only is the price extremely affordable, the taste and quality of their mee rebus is leaps and bounds beyond what you'll expect. A rich, depthful broth served with perfectly cooked noodles and assorted vegetables and condiments. Simply delicious!
